Most of us will be giving thanks tomorrow for the many blessings in our lives as we sit around the table with family. I’m blessed to be sitting at that table with my whole family. My Dad and sister will be among the many gathered. Growing up my Dad would blast music, usually country, from the kitchen radio as we cooked and prepared our meal. We’d use spoons as microphones and when my Dad belted out the latest Johnny Cash song, my sister and I would add the background vocals as we danced around. My mom could cook through anything, even our crazy antics. She’d smile and laugh at us and never once tell us we were too loud or silly. I have great memories of being in the kitchen with family, and of listening to Johnny Cash. So I thought it was appropriate to share this video as I wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.

Wonderful video. As Bob Hope would say "Thanks for the memories." Let's sing and get a litlle crazy tomorrow while we're fixing the bird! Dad
What a neat memory. You’ve reminded me of a song my folks used to play all the time. Not the same, but they would shove an old 8 track in of Tom Jones and my sister and I would sing “What’s Up Pussycat,” as we would cruise across town in dad’s big ‘ol caddy. Great memories. Thanks for the memorable post Kara. Happy Thanksgiving.
The one and only Johnny Cash. That voice, that heart. Thanks for the reminder to be even more thankful than we think we are. Have a great Thanksgiving with your family.
