Right now as I type my husband is right outside my window, my second story window. He's hanging Christmas lights. He's been at it for awhile now. The temp is hovering around freezing, the ladder is very, very tall, and his knee could still be a bit unsteady. I'm praying to God and trying not to look at the same time. Why is he doing this? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the taunts I threw his way about making sure his light display didn't resemble Christmas cheer throwing up in our front yard. Geez, I was just joking...
And for the record I asked him to get down, several times, but I swear the man is almost as stubborn as I am.
So I'm going to go busy myself and pray he doesn't fall!

So after weeks of constant badgering, this weekend I went up into both of the attics and brought down the 12 boxes of Christmas stuff. I didn't manage to injure myself in that effort, but now it looks like Christmas cheer has thrown up on the inside of the house, with three small children evenly distributing the contents of the 12 boxes randomly throughout the house. Kara further suggested that we (she meant me) hang lights this year, so despite the freezing temperatures and remnants of snow I successfully attached tasteful icicle lights on the outside of the house. Once again I accomplished this task without managing to injure myself. I'm now eagerly anticipating Kara's next holiday decorating suggestion.
Oh Baaa humbug! See I told you all:)
After a 4:30 a.m. wake-up call I got your sister to the airport at 5:30 for her flight to the Big Apple. Later today I'll look for a large evergreen wreath for your mom to decorate and hang on the front door. i'll put a spot light on it and that will be the extent of decorations for Kingwood. The Galvestion condo decorations will be another adventure . Gramp
May the force be with you Dad!
